The Community Clinic provides essential low-cost medical, dental, and mental health services to individuals without insurance in the community. Volunteer opportunities include both medical (physicians, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, medical assistants, lab techs, behavioral health specialists, and more) or non-medical (translators, administrative support, IT assistance, cleaning, fundraising, general office help).

Joplin Humane Society volunteers are vital to the shelter's daily operations and community outreach. Volunteers must be 16 or older or have a parent or guardian present.

The Medical Loan Closet provides free, safe, accessible durable medical equipment - such as walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, shower chairs, and more - to anyone in need. Volunteers help clean, organize, and distribute donated equipment, greet and assist borrowers and donors, conduct safety checks, organize inventory, and more.
Restoration Life Center

The Restoration Life Center provides help for those experiencing homelessness with immediate relief including meals, showers, a place to sleep, and opportunities to develop life skills on a path to self-sufficiency. Volunteers help prepare and serve meals, clean, provide education services, or maintain the property.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children (ages 0-21) and expectant mothers being treated at local hospitals. House volunteers check families in and out, help with light housekeeping, and cover the front desk. (8 hours a month) Special project volunteers may do landscaping, cleaning, or other projects.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room at Mercy Hospital Joplin offers families of pediatric patients (ages 0-21) a place to rest and regroup just steps away from their child's hospital room. As a family room volunteer, you welcome families into the space and check them in and out, help with some light chores, and use the quiet time to study, craft, or work.
